Originally breaking through as the mastermind/songwriter behind Warped Tour veterans Automatic Loveletter and then again when she came in second place on NBC’s The Voice, her rise was hampered by industry dysfunction and false promises just as her star began to shine brighter. “This EP and its songs really represent coming back from the ashes and rising like a phoenix,” she says reflectively. “In all honesty, the EP represents strength, perseverance, never backing down and owning who you are and never being afraid to voice it at the top of your lungs.” In a lot of ways, this child’s destiny is not only as a music industry survivor but also as a testament that when you have that creative spirit and fire, you really can’t be stopped.
